What is truly amazing is to consider that we are part of God’s master plan. We have a role to play. We are called to become more truly the person that God wants us to be and to use the gifts and talents to achieve this goal. That is what I am trying to do in my life. My name is Fr. Sebastian Szczawinski and I was recently assigned to be the Administrator at Our Lady of the Angels.

I was born on October 4th,1980 in the northern part of Poland. After graduating high school, I joined the Seminary in Oltarzew, Poland. I studied Philosophy and Theology at the Cardinal Wyszynski University in Warsaw. I was ordained tothe priesthood on May 6th, 2006. For the first three years, I was a parochial vicar in Miedzyrzecz and for the next four years I was a chaplain of St. Joseph Catholic High School in Chelmno, Poland.

In July 2013, I came to the United States. My first assignment was at St. Martha’s Church in Sarasota where I stayed for over four years. I helped for a couple of months at St. Thomas More and then was relocated to Venice at Epiphany Cathedral where I stayed for over two years.

It is my joy to be here where I can serve God and His people.
